As we improve resilience, we are also helping councils to adopt new and innovative approaches to managing their networks. In the East Riding of Yorkshire, I have seen for myself how teams are exploring low-carbon street-lighting alternatives such as solar-powered studs and highly reflective markings, to reduce reliance on traditional lighting on rural routes.
